I am of the opinion that if you are excessively overweight then a treadmill may not b the best choice for you in terms of exercise equipment. Treadmills that cater for up to 200kg are available but can be quite pricey. In addition is you are excessively overweight then lower impact exercise may be a better choice such as a rower or exercise bike.
